The Fun Part

There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to, but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving is. The biggest challenge for Olympus Dive Center is coaxing the Discover Scuba Diving participants out of the water when the program is over. The fun part? It's all fun! 

What You Learn

You learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. One thing you will learn is that you really can breathe underwater! You will:

• Learn how easy it is to move around with scuba gear underwater
• Find out how to breathe comfortably underwater
• Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your full scuba certification course when you take the next step

The Scuba Gear You Use

All the equipment you will need is included in a Discover Scuba Diving experience. You will use all the basic scuba gear including a mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, buoyancy compensating device (BCD) that carries your weights and scuba tank, a scuba regulator to breathe from and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply.

Just your willingness and undivided attention.

Prerequisites

To sign up for a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonably good physical health.

Your Next Adventure

Once you complete a Discover Scuba Diving program, you will want to check out the Open Water Diver certification course.
