Why is my 2nd stage leaking? What’s this annual service thing all about? Is there a difference between a low-pressure plug and a high-pressure one? Have these questions come up during your latest dive adventure? Join us for an Equipment Specialist Seminar and learn how regulators really work, how they differ and what you can do to get them working again quickly. We will also help you put together a useful "save a dive" kit. This is not a Manufacturers Technician course, but you will come away knowing there’s a lot more to your equipment than you thought. Be safer, be the hero on the boat, don’t let exotic trips get ruined!

What You Learn

• Review the theory, principles and operation of scuba diving equipment
• Learn about routine, recommended care and maintenance procedures and equipment storage
• How to overcome common problems with equipment and recommended professional maintenance procedures (may include a demonstration of repair procedures)
• Gain simple suggestions for comfortable equipment configurations and an introduction to new gear (may include optional confined water dive to try new or unfamiliar equipment)

Prerequisites

To take this course, you must be:

• Anyone who is interested in how Scuba gear works, divers and non-divers alike.

The Scuba Gear You Use

If you have your own gear and save-a-dive toolkit, please bring it. If not we will provide an example and hands-on experience with dive gear.
