Our PADI Tec 40 course is designed to introduce experienced recreational Nitrox divers to the theories and techniques required for Technical Diving. The focus is on mindset, gear configuration, and equipment usage. It is the bridge between no stop diving and technical decompression diving. You will gain experience and begin building the knowledge and skills you need to continue your tec diver training.
You will qualify to make limited decompression dives to 40 metres/130 feet and use up to 50 percent oxygen as a decompression gas. .
This course lays the foundation of special techniques, planning procedures, and skills that technical divers need to function within a Technical team. The focus is on gear configuration and equipment usage.
In addition to your basic scuba gear, you will need the kit listed here. We have a limited number of these items can be rented from Olympus.

The Tec 40 course consists of seven knowledge development sections, provided in th PADI Tec 40 eLearning program. In addition you will complete four practical application sessions and four training dives.
*Students must provide their own personal items including mask, fins, boots, gloves, dive computer, thermal protection, and the Scuba unit. We have limited rentals available for the Scuba unit, dive computer, wetsuit, tanks, and weights.
*Boat dives are required for an additional fee. Your experience level will determine which trips you need to complete the course. For this course, you will need a minimum of two Full day (deeper offshore) trips. If you book this course On-line you will be contacted by our staff to determine and reserve the appropriate trips.
