PADI TEC 45 DIVER Extend your depth limit to 150 feet, and extend your skills as a technical diver.

This is a course where you rise to the challenge and commit to becoming a technical diver. The PADI Tec 45 course extends your depth limit to 150 feet. You will learn to plan and execute single and repetitive decompression dives using a single decompression cylinder with up to 100 percent oxygen. You will use double cylinders in a back mount.configuration. Tec 45 is a prerequisite to Tec 50.

 

What You'll Learn

Your Tec 45 training consists of seven knowledge development sections, four practical application sessions and four open water dives, building on what you learned in the Tec 40 course.

The Scuba Gear You'll Use

In addition to your basic scuba gear, you will need the kit listed here. We have a limited number of these items can be rented from Olympus.

Prerequisites

To participate in the Advanced Nitrox course with Olympus Dive Center you must:

  • Be a PADI Tec 40 Diver
  • PADI Rescue diver with proof of CPR/First Aid training within the previous two years
  • Proof of 10 dives to 100 feet or deeper
  • Minimum of 50 logged dives beyond your OW certification dives
  • Be at least 18 years old

Some qualifying certifications from other diver training organizations may apply - ask your Tec 45 Instructor.

The Learning Materials You Need

The Tec 45 course consists of seven knowledge development sections, provided in th PADI Tec 40 eLearning program.  In addition you will complete four practical application sessions and four training dives.

Group Lessons: $750/person plus PADI eLearning ($860 total plus tax)

  • Class size is limited to 4 students
  • Weekend or weekday scheduling formats, year around-weather permitting

 *Students must provide their own personal items including mask, fins, boots, gloves, dive computer, thermal protection, and the Scuba unit. We have limited rentals available for the Scuba unit, dive computer, wetsuit, tanks, and weights.

*Boat dives are required for an additional fee. Your experience level will determine which trips you need to complete the course. For this course, you will need a minimum of two Full day (deeper offshore) trips. If you book this course On-line you will be contacted by our staff to determine and reserve the appropriate trips.
